Advanced Composites Laboratory

Welcome!

Texas State University's Advanced Composites Laboratory (ACL) is involved in education and research in manufacturing and characterizing innovative materials with sustainable, ablative, magnetic, and high mechanical properties. Under the lead of Dr. Jitendra Tate, the ACL has been awarded different grants from the NSF, Texas State, NASA, and Evonik, among others.

Ryan J. McDermott (middle) won first prize in the 2018 CAMX URS Competition held in Dallas,TX. He worked with Dr. Tate on developing a novel ablative composite for use in Aersopace industry.
